Why Do We Have a Tabler of the Week?
We periodically interview one of our amazing co-workers to highlight on our culture blog. A great culture is 100% about the people that drive it. We come from different places, backgrounds, and experiences and all add a lot of spice to this workplace.

What is your role at Social Tables? Director, Events and Public Relations
What were you doing before you came to Social Tables? Pre-ST, I was exclusively on the planner side of the industry. I actually found Social Tables through my last company, AIPAC, which used Meeting Matrix. I was working on a 1,300 person VIP event in Napa and MM crashed, causing me to lose all of my work. I was so upset I randomly Googled, “floor diagramming software”, and used the free trial to replicate all of my MM work. Prior to AIPAC, I was the Director of Events and Scheduling for (then) Congressman Bobby Schilling from Illinois.
What do you like to do outside of work? Hiking, climbing, traveling (*shocking*) and playing restaurant roulette with whomever is game to try out a new spot with me.
Talk about your favorite Core Value: Decidedly Determined. I often consider the following quote, “…today’s leaders face extraordinary new challenges, and must learn to think differently about their role and how to fulfill it. Those who do may have an opportunity to change the world in ways their predecessors never imagined.” Everyone at Social Tables is a leader because everyone at Social Tables is ambitious and isn’t afraid to try new things. It’s my favorite because it resonates across the board through every Tabler.
Talk about your favorite Social Tables event: My first Chiavaris (2014), hands down. It was my first trip back to D.C. after moving, which was honestly a little scary…until I was basically tackled at the door by Arliene and Kelly. The entire night was wonderful and perfectly executed, but the camaraderie then, and throughout the rest of the event – from the Darlington House dance off to Sabba Postmate-ing cigars for the guys to Logo’s job offer on-site…I could go on – sticks out in my mind in particular.
What makes you weird? My ability to consume pounds of refined white sugar in a singular sitting and not die. Please see any MarPod member for verification here.
Cheers from Peers:
