Tabler of the Week: Mary Mejia

Why Do We Have a Tabler of the Week?

We periodically interview one of our amazing co-workers to highlight on our culture blog.  A great culture is 100% about the people that drive it.  We come from different places, backgrounds, and experiences and all add a lot of spice to this workplace.

What do you like to do outside of work?

  • Go wine tasting and checking out vineyards in Leesburg, VA
  • Trying new brunch spots
  • Knitting
  • Watching Law and Order SVU
  • Traveling
  • Google Earth Traveling

Talk about your favorite Core Value:

Teams are Families. My mom spends half of the year in the United States and the other half in Honduras and it seems to coincide that her Honduras travels happen during the holidays. Everyone here at Social Tables does a great job of making me feel loved during this time of year since I cannot be with my family.

Talk about your favorite Social Tables event:

The Series A Closing Dinner. It was my first day at Social Tables and I was a little nervous but the party really did remove all the awkward first day feelings and made me realize that these were people that I wanted to spend the rest of my career hanging out with.

What makes you weird?

What doesn’t make me weird?

I like to Google movies while I’m watching them so I know what’s going on, even though the movie is playing and I’m watching it.

I also like to watch SVU reruns and quote them (since I’ve seen them so many times).

Cheers from Peers:

You’re an amazing mentor/teacher/everything in between! Thank you for always taking my overwhelming amounts of questions and being the rock star resource that you are 🙂 You are inspiring!
