Tabler of the Week: Kelly Burke

This post was written by Sarah Ghessie, operations manager for Social Tables.

Why Do We Have a Tabler of the Week?

We periodically interview one of our amazing co-workers to highlight on our culture blog.  A great culture is 100% about the people that drive it.  We come from different places, backgrounds, and experiences and all add a lot of spice to this workplace.

What is your role at Social Tables?

I am a Senior Customer Advocate, working predominantly with Venues. My job is to set our customers up for success, continuously ensure they are getting the most value out of Social Tables, and grow the relationship. I get to come into work everyday and help so many incredible partners achieve great things through Social Tables.

What were you doing before you came to Social Tables?

Before I came to ST, I worked in supported employment for adults with Autism.  I spent my time working with a handful of clients holding a variety of different employment roles ensuring that they were successful in their jobs and in life. I still hear from them a lot— knowing I had an impact that great means the world to me.

What do you like to do outside of work?

My favorite thing to do is travel. Growing up with a pilot for a dad, I was fortunate enough to travel all over and explore so many incredible places. I’m also obsessed with food and have a severe shopping addiction, but these pair very well with traveling to new places.

Talk about your favorite Core Value:

Be Outrageous. I appreciate a company that not only accepts but encourages people to be who they really are and to show all of their weirdness.

Talk about your favorite Social Tables event:

Series A Closing Dinner. It was a really exciting milestone for the company and it was so much fun celebrating as a team! The fact that it was at an awesome venue (who also happens to be a customer) and all got to be together is an opportunity I am so glad I was able to be a part of.

What makes you weird?

I do a lot of really random things– like make a “Wall of Fame” collage to hang in the office that’s comprised of bizarre photos of coworkers (and Ctown Coffee). I’m also pretty good at imitating people and/or characters– sometimes I will just start speaking like Gollum (I’m a huge fan of sci-fi and fantasy).

Cheers from Peers:

“Kelly, your new Pardot campaign is FABULOUS. The thought, creativity, and time you put into it is clear, and I am so excited for you to take our team to the next level with more initiatives like this. So happy to see you thriving in your element! You are an incredible asset to our team – keep up the great work.”
