From the Desk of Belly: Week 8

This post was written by Social Tables’ Manager, Communications, Claire Harrington, CMP.

Oh Heyyyy Guys Heyyyy,

I should probably start cutting back on the caffeine, but let’s be honest, that’s never gonna happen – I need it to keep up with my team! This week was one of our biggest yet, and I have to say, being really good at what we do is both exhilarating and exhausting. I’ll be sleeping in tomorrow, that’s for sure. Weekly wrap up below!

  • Dan was racking up his airline miles this past week! First he hit the 2014 HelmsBriscoe Annual Business Conference in Dallas (check out his presentation!). Next, he grabbed Jesse and popped up to Indiana for the White Lodging Conference. To complete his conference hat trick, he wrapped the week by introducing, “Revenge of the Floor Plans” at the first annual IHG Catering & Convention Services Conference in my favorite place, Austin!

  • The Committee is in session! The SCIENCE Committee, that is! A few of my teammates have decided to put their nerd caps on to dig into the psychology of meetings, research-backed industry best practices, and the factual reasonings behind why our industry does what it does. #nerdyandproud #eventprofs

  • And last but not least, it is with a heavy heart that I announce my awesome colleague, Jake Scott, is heading out into the world to pursue his professional dreams, and today his last day at Social Tables. Jake is an amazing engineer, and a better friend. We are sad to see him go but know that he will always be part of the Social Tables family. Good luck, Jake, you’ll be missed (pleasecomebackpleasepleaseplease)!

Good night and good luck this weekend, STers!
